6.3. Viewing tokens in the WebUI

You can view tokens by either providing a serial number a username or other information of a token.

If you are searching for “ben” LinOTP will only return tokens that are assigned to user “ben” but not to a user “benjamin”. You can use the wilcard “*” to search for several tokens. So searching for “ben*” would return tokens belonging to the users “ben” and to the user “benjamin”.

If you want to search for all Simple Pass tokens you would have to search for “LSSP*” in the token serial number.

The usage of wildcards was added in LinOTP version 2.6.

There is still a find-while-you-type behaviour in the Management GTK client. This does of course not use wildcards.
