To activate a configuration you need to go to the tab Configuration Management Save Settings. This tab will show you, which parts of the configuration were changed. You may give an optional tag for this revision of the configuration set to identify what was configured later.

The button Save and Activate will save the configuration and activate it.

You may restore any previous configuration set from the tab Configuration Management Restore Settings. Choose a previous revision. The revision will only get loaded into the management interface. Then you can adapt it and

Save and Activate this loaded revision, which in turn will create a new current revision, thus keeping track of your configuration without any gap.
